2015 Update
Frankie has been retired and respectfully recycled. His essence though does live on virtually and continues to host this website!
After initial recycling he did take one last trip as a guest of Fresche Solutions to the COMMON Conference in Florida showing the range of machines they work to upgrade.
I know many folks out there wish that Frankie and many of his bretheren could be saved and run forever but the economics of power and space consumption cannot be justified.

August 19, 2003 Update
Frankie met his public at Spring COMMON 2003 in Indianapolis, where he was greeted with much interest from conference attendees.
In August 2003, Frankie grew up and went blonde! A System Expansion Unit was added, along with a "Bumblebee" livery front panel. Frankie continues to grow with an impressive number of disk arms (for a 170), and still sports the custom "DASD sidecars" that made him famous.
So, do blondes have more fun? Well so far we think so....
